This year, we plan to do a bunch of "smaller" improvements around the house - a new kitchen floor, new gutters, maybe even work on the master bath. Last Saturday, the project we chose to do was to update the railing and add numbers to the front of our house.
Here's a pic from last year of the railing (sort of - we forgot to take a real "before" pic). Good thing I have such a cute girl :)
And here's some after shots. We went with a brushed nickel finish for the railing to match the light, the door handles, and the house numbers.
Its a bit different, and it took some getting used to, but we love it. Its definitely an improvement to the grungy, rusty black railing we previously had.
Side note - check out how big my daisies grew in just one year! I can't wait until we start getting blooms!
